Giving Back to St. John's Christian Nursery School in Turnersville

Some jobs are just different. This one at St. John's Christian Nursery School in Turnersville, NJ hit close to home for us - our son attended preschool here, my wife Niki is one of the teachers, and our family are members of St. John's Church. So when we had the chance to help get the playgrounds ready for the first day of school, we didn't think twice.

We refreshed the woodchips across multiple play areas and got the sandboxes cleaned up and ready for little hands. Fresh mulch makes a big difference - it keeps the play surfaces safer, cleaner, and a whole lot more inviting for kids who are about to walk through those doors for the very first time.

We also helped create a brand new outdoor picnic table area where teachers can actually step outside and enjoy their lunch. It's a small thing, but it matters. The staff at St. John's works incredibly hard, and having a dedicated space to take a real break outside is something they've earned. Those bright blue tables set against the fresh mulch look sharp, too.

On top of that, we assembled and installed a new tricycle track - donated by the PTO - so the kids have even more room to move and explore. It's the kind of addition that gets little ones genuinely excited to go outside. That track, paired with the artificial turf areas already in place across the grounds, makes for a well-rounded outdoor space that's both functional and fun.

This year is an especially meaningful one - St. John's Preschool is celebrating 60 years of serving families in our community. That's an incredible milestone. It means a lot to be a small part of that story, and we're grateful for every opportunity to give back to a place that has given so much to our own family and so many others here in South Jersey.
